Techno Village

Techno Village Development Programs (TVDP) is a Non-Formal Education (NFE) innovation that aims to bring the University to the community. It is done by creating village-based techno hubs that localize the project models on crops, animals, and fisheries found on the university campus. TVP represents the conscious effort of the University to facilitate technology dissemination and accelerate countryside development. Faculty and staff members from the various research and development centers, colleges, and units participate in providing needed training, technical, information, and project support services.

They work closely with Local Government Unit (LGU) extension workers and farmer leaders in assisting families learn and apply technologies in their farms and businesses. By this, technologies and services are brought closer to the communities and made more accessible to the families. The techno hubs are established with progressive farmer partners, serving as community learning venues. Here, farmers, entrepreneurs, extension workers, students, and other clients can see and learn about science and technology innovations that can impact livelihood and farming.
